Arlington, TX--It took the Dallas Wings two years to convince Australian native Liz Cambage to play in the United States. Tuesday night it paid dividends. The 6'8" Cambage took a blow torch to the Chicago Sky defense, scoring a career high 37 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the Dallas Wings' (8-8) 108-85 thumping of the Eastern Conference Sky (6-11).
Liz shot an astounding 16-20 on a variety of mid-range jumpers, driving layups, and follow shots. Cambage had 21 points in the first half as teammate, Skylar Diggins-Smith, got off to a slow start. Diggins-Smith got hot in the 3rd quarter scoring 18 of her twenty points. Cambage continued her torrid shooting dropping in 16 more points in the second half. Azure' Stevens added 12 points off the bench and Allisha Gray poured in another 10.
The Wings conclude a three game home stand Thursday when they host the Indiana Fever.
