Arlington, TX--The Dallas Wings have proven to be remarkably inconsistent in 2018. Friday the blew out the Los Angeles Sparks 101-72 shooting 53.1% from the field and 48% from the three point line.
Two days later, the Wings were blown out 97-76 by Seattle at home. A close look at the numbers tells the story. Seattle outscored the Wings 42-24 in the paint. The Storm won the second chance point 30.4% from three.s stat (17-11). The Wings were outscored 21-9 on fast break points. Seattle shot 52.9% from the field while the Wings shot only 39.1%. The Storm shot the three ball at a 44.9% clip. The Wings shot only 30.4%. Dallas lost the rebound battle 39-22. Numbers always tell the underlying story.
The Wings now head West to play the LA Sparks and the Las Vegas Aces before a three game home stand against Minnesota, Chicago, and Indiana.
