A&M-Commerce 1,500 Runners

Not everyone wants to be sociable after running 1,500 meters in 80 degree heat. I was waiting to photograph another heat of the 1,500 at the UTA-Bobby Lane Relays when these ladies stopped near me. They were in such a good mood I decided to approach them. They happily agreed to let me photograph them for my sports blog and posed for a pic so I could post in real time...Meet my new friends from Texas A&M- Commerce. Left to Right: Mikayla Maldonado Irving Nimitz HS), Katherine Holleman (Our Lady of Fatima Co-op HS); and Maddie Shubert (Rowlett HS)...They were so nice to stop and give me some time after the 1500. It is greatly appreciated. I like them so much I'm to try an fit their conference meet in my schedule. A&M-Commerce is the host school. TCOM competes in the Lone Star Conference and is a Division II powerhouse. It promises to be a great meet. I meet so many quality young people covering sports. It makes my job so worthwhile and keeps me optimistic about this generation.
